Larry did his first wood turning in High School shop class in the early ’60s. About 2010 Larry and his wife Joan went to the Bell Woodturner’s Club open house and Liked what they saw. After going back the next year they decided to buy a lathe and try wood turning for themselves. With practice, more was needed to fulfill a yearning.
A shop was built, lathes were purchased, along with auxiliary equipment, clubs were joined, demos attended, and wood that would fit on a lathe was rounded up. With a lot of ongoing practice his skills were built to where he feels comfortable showing his turnings.
